It’s that time of the year again and vForum 2015 is fast approaching. vForum is always an exciting time for us and this year is no different.
We’ve got a jam-packed agenda this year as we bring together thought leaders, subject matter experts, and IT professionals to immerse themselves in the latest in virtualization and cloud technology in our Solutions Exchange.
We will also have another change of scenery this year with the event being held at The Star Event Centre in Darling Harbour. Kicking off on Wednesday 21st October this year, vForum will once again run over two days.
At our keynote this year we are very fortunate to have VMware international thought leaders attending with Bruce Davie CTO, Networking, VMware and Joe Baguley VP and CTO, Global Office of the CTO just to name a couple. Bruce and Joe are leading some of VMware’s most bleeding edge client implementations and we can’t wait to get them on stage here in Sydney to share their knowledge with you. They will also be sticking around for the CTO panel session, which is scheduled directly after the keynote – so make sure you carve out enough time in your schedules to attend both of these sessions.
We are also very excited to have Mariano Maluf, Cloud Brokerage & Ecosystems Strategy at Coca-Cola Global presenting as a part of the keynote this year. For those VMUG fans out there, you’ll also know that Mariano is the Global VMUG President and an innovative leader with 25 plus years of experience under his belt. I for one am looking forward to his presentation.
In addition to the keynote, attendees of Day One (which is also free) will also have the opportunity to visit a range of supersessions, including a panel on the automated future with CSIRO Futures, Dell, EMC, Veritas, Trend Micro and more. Not to mention the infamous vForum party towards the end of the day. Last year was a blast with WolfMother, so we are looking forward to loosening our ties and letting our hair down as we welcome Eskimo Joe and Sneaky Sound System to entertain us this year.
On Day Two we have a full schedule with sessions designed to help organisations’ navigate their cloud journey, with actionable advice on how to build skills to deliver an effective cloud strategy. These are real gems and we always find them to be well attended, so be sure to register your spot now.
The team at VMware are really looking forward to what this year has to offer and as we count down towards the main event you can, as always, join the conversation online via Twitter with the hashtag #vForumAU. You can also find lots of useful information here on our dedicated VMware ANZ Newsroom site where you will be able to access materials and receive ongoing updates to the latest news.
Look forward to seeing you there!
