AirWatch by VMware Recognised as Australia EMM Vendor of the Year by Frost & Sullivan for Third Year Running
I’m proud to announce that last week, AirWatch by VMware was awarded Australia Enterprise Mobile Management Vendor of the Year from Frost & Sullivan for the third consecutive year.
This award is a significant achievement thanks to our truly dedicated team, which has formed close strategic alliances with channel partners and worked tirelessly to service diverse customer groups, spanning all major industry sectors, each and every day.
I feel that it is also important to recognise our customers and partners who played a role in helping AirWatch by VMware accomplish this recognition as the market leader in enterprise mobility management in Australia.
In Australia we are seeing a strong increase in the EMM market. In fact, Frost and Sullivan research shows that in 2014 the EMM market in Australia had almost doubled in revenue YOY – largely due to the proliferation of mobiles phones and mobile applications.
Further research by Frost and Sullivan also predicts that by 2020, the proportion of smartphones acquired by the enterprise segment will increase to approximately 30 percent, up from 25 percent. These trends are driving the growth for EMM solutions. As enterprises continue to expand management capabilities across multiple devices and platforms they require reliable, secure, and nimble solutions to help support them, and that is where AirWatch by VMware comes in.
As a part of the award, Frost & Sullivan highlighted the AirWatch by VMware solution as a leader in the EMM market. We were recognised as both the global and Australian leader in the EMM market with 92% revenue growth in 2014 in Australia. Our increasing presence in the healthcare and education sectors also played a role in securing this position as we have supported some major deployments in Australia in these verticals.
Our commitment to strong channel partner relationships was also a deciding factor in the award. We continue to maintain and further develop strong partnerships across a range of verticals within our channel partner network in Australia. This has enabled us to address the enterprise mobility requirements of a wide range of organisations, such as banking, financial services, healthcare, education, and government.
Once again, thank you to all involved. These are exciting times for the team at VMware and the mobility space as a whole. I look forward to continuing our shared journey over the coming year in this rapidly changing digital workplace.
